Poker Three

The Basics of Poker Three

In Poker Three you place your bets and get your cards. All you need is a pair to win! No matter what, if you have a pair you win, no matter what the dealer has. If you have better than a pair you win even more. If you get a Royal Flush you will win a 40 to 1 payout!

How to play Poker Three

Poker Three is played with a single deck of 52 cards. This games is actually 2 games in 1, the Pair Plus and the Ante and Play game.

The Pair Plus Game: The result of this game is determined only by the rank of the players hand. The player will win if they have a pair or better, if the player has nothing he loses.

Ante and Play Game: This is when you are playing against the dealer to see whether the player or the dealer has the highest hand.
Before the cards are dealt the player will make an Ante Bet. After the three cards have been dealt the player can either:

- Fold and lose the Ante bet or
- Play and make another bet to equal the Ante bet.

If the player decides to make a Play Bet then the dealers hand will be revealed and a showdown will occur. The dealer will need a hand of a Queen or higher in order for play to continue. If the dealer doesn't have a Q or higher, the players will be paid even money for their Ante Bet and their Play Bet will be returned to them.

If the dealer does receive a Queen or higher, his hand will qualify and be compared to the players hand. If the dealers hand beats the players hand, the player loses both bets. If the players hand still beats the dealers hand he will be paid even money for his Ante and Play Bets. If there is ever a tie the player will win the hand.

If the player made an Ante Bet and has a straight or higher, the player will receive an Ante Bonus regardless of what the value of the dealer's hand is.

Hand Rankings

The outcome of the Pair Plus game is determined by the players hand rank. Since there are only 3 cards dealt in Poker Three the hand rankings will differ slightly to that of traditional 5 card poker. The hands are ranked from highest to lowest.

Straight Flush: Three cards of the same suit in sequence. Example 5-6-7 of hearts. Payout 40 to1.

Three of a Kind:
Three cards of equal rank. Payout 30 to 1.

Straight: Three cards in sequence of mixed suits. Payout 6 to 1.

Flush:
Three cards of the same suit. Payout 4 to 1.

Pair: Two cards of equal rank. Payout 1 to 1.

High Card:
The highest card in your hand.

Poker Three is an easy game to play and the popularity is increasing by the day. This game involves the element of strategy and it is loads of fun to play.
